Awards

The Wessex Band Summer School recognises many ways in which members of the course can contribute. This can range from the most improvement seen during the week, to commitment and dedication over a number of years.

The award winners for 2008 were:

Andrew Pitts Plate - Rebecca Spinks

awarded to the member making the most progress during the week in either the Brass Band or Wind Band.


Courtney Bosanko Shield - Michelle Cook

awarded for commitment, dedication and contribution over a number of years.


Silver Jubilee Shield - Seth Jordan

awarded to the most outstanding member of the Training Band.


Sarum Sound Cup - Amy Branch

awarded to the member under 15 making the most progress.


Angela Lowe Cup - Tom Jacobs

awarded to the member of the Training Band making the most progress.


Ron Cornelius Cup - Wendy Winson

awarded to the euphonium member making the most progress.


Louise Wise Shield - Jamie Benson

awarded to the percussionist making the most progress.


Elinor Tolfrey - Training Band - Sally Hawkins
Elinor Tolfrey - Brass Band - Kay Butler
Elinor Tolfrey - Wind Band - Ros Leveridge


awarded to the adults making the most progress in their respective bands.
